Unify America is serious about protecting the security of your personal data. We appreciate your openness in participating in our Unify Challenge, and we recognize that you’ve shared sensitive information with us. We want you to feel confident about the steps that Unify America takes to keep your information private.
Your personal data is stored securely on servers, in the United States with back-up servers in Frankfurt, Germany, maintained by third party vendors who maintain high standards for data privacy and integrity. Unify America does not manage our own servers or store your data on our workstations or laptops.
When participating in our Unify Challenge, your information is protected by a secure connection that allows the authentication of both parties involved, and by encrypting data to be transferred. All data transmitted to the servers is protected using strong encryption protocols, and uses Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.2/1.3).
Your data is encrypted using 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). Our primary vendor provides additional layers of security by encrypting the data encryption keys using master keys. The master keys and data encryption keys are physically separated and stored in different servers with limited access.
Our vendors closely monitor network traffic and usage. Monitoring information is recorded in the form of event logs, audit logs, fault logs, administrator logs, and operator logs. These logs are automatically monitored and analyzed to a reasonable extent that helps identify anomalies such as unusual activity in employees’ accounts or attempts to access customer data.
Data is retained for as long as necessary in respect of the purposes for which it was collected and according to the applicable laws. In addition, by law, we may be obliged to keep some data for indefinite periods of time. However, in the event you would like your data to be completely removed from our platform, you can request us to delete your data at any time by emailing us at info@unifyamerica.org.
