Unify America and Unify Tech collect and use your personal information to: (i) operate its website(s) and apps; (ii) communicate with you about Unify-Related Activities; and (iii) analyze, plan and perform functions related to Unify America’s mission.

If you apply for a Unify Challenge, Unify America will share some of your personally identifiable information with individuals with whom you are matched for the purposes of scheduling or following up on Unify-Related Activities.
Unify America may, from time to time, use trusted third party service providers to contact you on our behalf about Unify-Related Activities. In those cases, your Unique Personally Identifiable Information (specifically: e-mail, name, address, telephone number) may be transferred to the third party. Unify America may share data with trusted partners or service providers to help perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide user, volunteer or participant support, or other functions that support Unify America’s efforts. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide services to Unify America, and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information. If we terminate our relationship with that third party, we will require them to delete all information you have provided to us, however, you acknowledge and accept that (a) they may be required by law or court order to maintain your information (b) we may not be able to definitively confirm that they have deleted your information and (c) you may have separated provided information to them directly, tied to your information provided by us, over which we will not have control.
Unify America may also provide data we’ve collected from you and other volunteers and participants with Unify America, stripped of Unique Personally Identifiable Information, to be used by scholars, journalists and researchers for purposes of publishing in the public interest, in a way that adheres to applicable ethics and privacy laws (“Public Interest Use”).
Unify America may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process(es) served on Unify; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Unify America; and/or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of Unify America employees, vendors, partners, volunteers and participants, or the public.
Unify America may keep track of and analyze: (i) the websites and pages you visit and actions you take on Unify Tech and (ii) Unify-Related Activities in which you participate, in order to improve Unify America’s efforts to achieve our mission.
Information about your computer hardware and software may be automatically collected by Unify Tech. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times, referring website addresses and other data that can be automatically collected. This information is used to maintain and improve the quality and effectiveness of Unify Tech and Unify America’s operations in pursuit of our mission.
Unify Tech may use “cookies” to personalize your online experience with us. A cookie is a text file that is placed on your local drive when you visit a web page.
